Mothering Sunday

Last night the clocks went forward one hour giving us lighter evenings.
Today is mothering Sunday. Angie and I went to church and it was a good service with teaching from Louise. Louise has been teaching on why Jesus had to die over the last few weeks. It’s useful to listen to the podcast from the website (www.wsvc.org.uk )
As we left church we were given bunches of daffodils to give to someone. Angie didn’t want to do this and so I went to two of our neighbours and have them the flowers and an invite to our Easter events. Personally I doubt they will come but it would be great if they did.
After the service we rushed home as Angie’s children were coming to cook lunch.
Josh and Anna arrived first and Josh and I started work on changing the front disks and pads on Angie’s smart car. While we were doing that Matthew and Tim arrived and started preparing lunch of gammon steaks, corn on the cob, asparagus, curly chips and mange tout followed by frozen cheese cake.
While it was being prepared and after Josh and I had finished Angie’s car we sat and watched the Malaysian Grand Prix which Lewis Hamilton won for Mercedes.
After lunch everybody went for a dog walk (except me).
When the Dog walk was done Matt and Tim left and Josh and Angie left a little later.
The day was coming to a close.
