We’re starting our fundraise for Wateraid
Yesterday we started walking to fulfill our commitment to raise money for Wateraid. Despite recovering from a nasty virus we walked 7km in the city and we’ll be walking today
The Last day of February
From tomorrow we will be posting our life events and mileage which will go towards our Wateraid fundraise.

Unfortunately dear reader we have just been informed the route we planned in Spain to Santiago de Compostela is not safe to walk currently. Heavy rains since the new year have left much of the route flooded and impassable with bridges and trails no longer passable. This has meant we have been forced to cancelContinue reading “Peter and Val’s Wateraid fundraising page”
Camino Part 2 is on hold for now
Unfortunately we have just been informed the route we planned is not safe currently. Heavy rains since the new year have left much of the route flooded and impassable. February has started
Today is the first of Feb. It’s been a grisly day. I’ve felt tired most of the day. I fasted until 4pm when Val made us a delicious evening meal. I’m not sure what you would call it. Perhaps a black bean shakshouka accompanied by water kombucha and Val’s red wine. Anyway, I’ve been puttingContinue reading “February has started”
Anthony O’Farrell

This involved removing his voice box and putting something in its place. I was amazed to find him sitting in a corridor in Addenbrookes hospitalContinue reading “Anthony O’Farrell”
Hamnet
Today Val and I went to a matinee of Hamnet. I loved “Shakespeare in Love” which came out in 1998. Val’s never seen it…… I’ll correct that. It’s one of my favourite films ever. I didn’t know what to expect. I was immediately impressed by the way it had been filmed but was a littleContinue reading “Hamnet”
Vivobarefoot
Today I received a pair of Vivo boots. These are very special for foot health They allow feet to spread naturally as of you were walking barefoot on the ground with no socks or shoes bringing feet back to a natural and strong state. Vivo market these on a rather unusual way as they areContinue reading “Vivobarefoot”
Today
We started today doing our usual chores; me making Kefir, Val making Sauerkraut. She then left the house to go and help with a litter pick on our estate; I clambered onto my cross trainer to try and do my usual stint. For me the exercise on the cross trainer or elliptical exerciser is notContinue reading “Today”
