My Cousin Susan becomes a great grandma!!!

Today I learnt by email from my lovely cousin Lesley that her elder sister (Sue) became a great grandma on April 14th. Her grand daughter Becky, has had a boy – Dylan. All well. I am not sure of his surname yet, because she appears to have split from the father! Lets hope they sort that one out….

Wicken Fen to Anglesey Abbey

A walk today with the dogs. We expected to get rained on but the weather was wonderful until a mile from the end when the skies opened. Beattie (now 4.5 months) had enough too and Angie carried her the last half mile. 8.5 miles total distance. We then got back to Wicken and had white bait in the Maids Head (http://www.maidsheadwicken.com/)

Is running the Bahrain Grand Prix wise?

In my opinion the FIA needs its head examined. Anyone who has any sense could have known it would be a powder keg. I just hope we get to the end of the weekend without any violence.

My opinion of the state of Bahrain is that it is a puppet state propped up by the Saudi Royal family and in time it is bound to fall, as Iraq, Tunisia, Libya and Syria have done.

My sympathy is with the downtrodden people of Bahrain.

I would really be interested in others opinions on this.

A walk under storm clouds

Lomu, Berkley and I did a 4 and a half mile walk. The sky was black as night and we could see the rain moving towards us as we walked……….. then Lomu decided to take a bath in a huge muddy puddle…. Grrrrr, that meant he would need a bath when we got home

Volunteering at Anglesey Abbey

I am sitting in the reception area of Anglesey Abbey which is a national trust property. I am going to be interviewed to see of I am suitable material to be a volunteer.
My interviewer is a Barry Hardy. Barry turns out to be an ex mining person from south Yorks.
We now are sitting having coffee while Barry explains all about it.

Early morning walks

this morning we managed a 7 o’clock walk but unluckily for me I was then out all day and unable to do much more, however I still managed to achieve my 10,322 steps…
